Day 1 ............/ Bangkok - Flight to Bangkok
Day 2/4 Bangkok - Visit the Grand Palace , the Temple of the Dawn (Wat
Arun) , Wat Po and Wat Trimitr (Golden Buddha Temple)
Overnight : Bangkok 3 nights
Day 5 Bangkok/Chiang Mai - One hour flight with Thai Airways to the "Rose
of the North" , visit the celebrated cottage industry centres and see the
craftsmen mastering Thai handicraffs. In the evening visit the night bazaar.
Overnight : Chiang Mai
Day 6 Chiang Mai - Journey to Chiang Dao to see elephants at work. Watch
them take daily bath before riding into the jungle to visit a Lisu hill
tribe. After lunch continue down river aboard a bamboo raft. Later visit a
waterfall and orchid farm before returning to Chiang Mai
Overnight : Chiang Mai
Day 7 Chiang Mai/Golden Triangle - Morning visit to the White Meo hill
tribes and the Temple building of Wat Pha That. Short 35 mins
flight to Chiang Rai and onwards to the infamous "Golden Triangle".
Overnight : Golden Triangle
Day 8 Golden Triangle - Travel by four wheel drive jeep and elephant back
to visit the Pong Nam Ron Region and the remote Yao Akha and Lahu hill
tribes. Take in the spectacular jungle scenery, mountain trails and
waterfalls. Onwards to the Baan Ruam Mit karen hill tribe village and return
by long tailed speed boat along the Mae Kok River.
Overnight : Golden Triangle
Day 9 Golden Triangle/Beach Resort - Take a morning 70 mins flight to
Bangkok with Thai Airways. Onward flight to Phuket with Thai Airway or
Koh Samui with Bangkok Airways. Alternatively drive to Hua Hin or Pattaya.
Overnight : Beach Resort 4 nights
Day 10/12 Beach Resort - At leisure to relax
and unwind
Day 13 Beach Resort/Bangkok/............. -
Departure via Bangkok and fly back to your home.
Departure : Daily.
Note : On day 7 flights from Chiang Mai to
Chiang Rai are sometime cancelled at short notice. This would be
replaced with 7 hours road transfer including sightseeing.
