A luxurious cruise by a converted traditional teak
rice barge along the Chao Praya River to Ayuthaya, the ancient capital
of Siam. Loving restored and rebuilt to accommodate up to four couples,
it features custom-designed furniture, colourful silks, Indian rugs and
Thai art sculpture and artifacts.
The Manohra Song is a beautiful 16 metre vessel
with four air-condition cabins (double bed only) with en suite bathroom
(shower only) and picture window. On the covered deck there is a saloon
and living area with bar and a separate sun-deck lounge area.
Day 1 Bangkok / Wat Bang Na
Morning departure from the Bangkok Marriott Hotel visiting Wat Arun
and the Royal Barge Museum before enjoying lunch while cruising the
river. Afternoon tea is served before your arrival at Wat Bang Na for
dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 Wat Bang Na / Ayuthaya
Morning visit to see monks at Wat Bang Na before lunch on board as
you cruise to Ayuthaya for a tour of impressive ruins of this ancient
capital.
Day 3 Ayuthaya / Bangkok
After breakfast visit Wat Nivat and the Summer Palace before
continuing to Bang Sai for a guided tour. Lunch and afternoon tea you
cruise back to the Bangkok Marriott Hotel and an evening arrival.
