"Death Railway" immortalised by the film "Bridge on The River Kwai", and
cemetery but also the luxriant jungle, floating house and fantastic rock
formations in Kanchanaburi Province.
Day 1 Bangkok/River Kwai
Depart from Bangkok via Nakorn Pathom, site of the tallest Buddhist
monument in the world. After stopping at the World War II museum proceed
to the River Kwai Bridge. Afternoon at leisure or take an optional
excursion to visit the Khmer Style ruins of Muang Singh.
Overnight : River Kwai Village
Day 2 River Kwai
Leave the hotel for an unforgetable journey upstream by long tailed
speed boat. Stops at the Kaeng Lava cave and the Sai Yoke Yai
waterfalls. On the way, take in a scene of rural river life encompassing
floating house and bamboo jungles. Afternoon free for swimming in the
river or walking in the teak forest.

Day 3 River Kwai/Bangkok
Depart by long tailed speedboat along the Kwai Noi River to Lum Sum,
the present terminal for the Thailand/Burma railway. Board the train for
a fascinating journey to Nam Tok. From here return by pick-up truck in
time for lunch. Afternoon departure to Bangkok, stopping en route at the
beautiful maintained and moving War Cemetery.
